A Legacy of Support Since

While the roots of our library system date back to 1944, the Friends of the Neva Lomason Memorial Library was officially formed on April 26, 1988. We were incorporated the following year with a clear purpose: to bridge the gap between government funding and the actual needs of a thriving community library.

For over three decades, we have served as the library’s creative and financial partner. From our early days to the present, we have remained a 100% volunteer-led non-profit organization dedicated to the success of Neva Lomason Memorial Library. Our efforts ensure that the library remains a premier resource for the community members of Carrollton, Georgia.

Direct Impact

Our efforts translate into tangible growth for the library. Because the Friends are 100% volunteer-led, we can maximize every dollar raised.

Capital Improvements

In 2020, we contributed $15,000 to name the Friends of the Library Multipurpose Room in the new library building.

Matching Gifts

We honor our community by doubling donations made in memory or honor of individuals, ensuring their legacy contributes to new library materials.

Monthly Book Fund

Since September 2022, we have provided $1,000 every month specifically for the purchase of new books.

Programming Support

From the annual Summer Reading Program to adult and teen events, we fund initiatives that serve hundreds of patrons each month.
